Welcome to Rec and Tec Dive Charters.
We offer Scuba Diving charters out of both the Sanilac and Thumb area Shipwreck Preserves of Michigan.
Sanilac Underwater Preserve - Sanilac offers some of the most exciting shipwreck diving in Michigan within a 163 square mile area in Lake Huron.
The Regina and some of it's cargo rests in 80 feet of water, with the ship rising 25 feet from the bottom. In addition we offer dives on the Mary Alice B, the Sport and many more!.
The Thumb Area Great Lakes Preserve was established in 1984 and covers approximately 276 square miles of lake bottom. Wrecks such as the Dunderberg, a 133 foot Schooner in 155 feet of water which sank in 1868 can be seen, as well as the Philadelphia, a 236 foot "Iron Propeller" that sank in 1893, and the Morrell, a 580 foot Steemer which sank in 1966. Fresh cold water have kept these wrecks in excellent condition.
The northern preserve boundary is the light at the end of the breakwater in Port Austin. The southern preserve boundary is 5 miles south of Harbor Beach. The preserve’s east boundary extends out into deep water.
